Program manager and development manager when Marty Breen was EVP of Cumming, which contracted with the owner. 

We provided development management services for the full renovation of the former Yacht Harbor Tower.  This tower was originally part of the Ilikai Towers development, and the conversion/rebranding was of the first domestic Edition Hotel, which was a joint venture brand by the legendary Ian Schrager and Marriott International.  The project included a total of 353 guestrooms, including suites, nightclub, 3 meeting rooms, 3 ballrooms, and one of the largest banquet kitchens in Waikiki.  It has a full spa, fitness center, and Chef Morimoto’s restaurant that overlooks the harbor.  In addition, it includes 5 bars and a full MEP system retrofit.  Yabu Pushelberg was the interior designer. 

Mr. Breen fulfilled both the roles of project development manager and executive vice president of Cumming’s Hospital Project Management Group when developing this property.  He reported directly to the JV ownership.  The ownership converted the hotel a year later to the Waikiki Modern Hotel, which was an Aqua Hospital brand.  The property has since been acquired by Diamond Resorts.
